亚采克·斯洛卡,波兰著名艺术家。1957年生于波兰克拉科夫,从事绘画、版画和素描创作。他曾就读于克拉科夫美术学院版画学院,1981年至1988年期间在母校担任版画学院助教。
2018年,他在北京的清华大学美术学院教授版画课程(铜版画)。
他曾多次到访中国。2014至2018年期间,他在南通做入驻艺术家。曾在北京、上海、洛带和杭州举办过展览。
艺术家曾举办120场个展,展出其绘画和版画作品(包括克拉科夫、华沙、弗罗茨瓦夫、巴黎、东京、柏林、雷克雅维克、阿姆斯特丹、马斯特里赫特、旧金山、维也纳、里昂、库里蒂巴和北京等),并在波兰和其他国家参与数百场群展。

艺术家也获得过许多奖项,包括米卢斯版画双年展(1984)、多伦多国际微型艺术展(1986)、雷克雅维克Graphica Atlantica展(1987)、瓦萨版画双年展(1987)、首尔版画双年展大奖(1988)、克拉科夫国际版画三年展(1994)。他1996年获《Polityka》杂志Passport奖提名,是波兰美术家协会Witold Wojtkiewicz奖得主(2001);获波兰文化部授予的Bronze Gloria Artis Medal奖章(2016),获波兰美术家协会授予的Vive l’Art Medal奖章(2019)。
Engaged in painting, printmaking and drawing, artist Jacek Sroka was born in Kraków in 1957. He studied in the Faculty of Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and holding the post of assistant in the Faculty of Printmaking at his alma mater between 1981 and 1988.
In 2018, he conducted a printmaking (etching and aquatint) course at the Academy of Fine Arts at the Tsinghua University in Beijing.
He visited China many times. In the years 2014 - 2018 he made artistic residencies in Nantong. He took part in exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Luodai and Hangzhou.
The artist has shown paintings and prints at 120 solo exhibitions (in, among other places, Kraków, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, Reykjavik, Amsterdam, Maastricht, San Francisco, Vienna, Lyon, Curitiba and Beijing), as well as at several hundred group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
Retrospective exhibitions of his work have been mounted at the following museums: Musée des Beaux Arts, Chambéry, France, 1995; Musée d’Ussel, France, 2005; National Museum in Cracow, Poland 2008; Kunstverein Offenburg, Germany, 2008; National Museum in Przemysl, Poland, 2011; Muzeum Ziemi Lubuskiej, Zielona Gora, Poland, 2011; Museu Oscar Niemeyer, Curitiba, Brazil, 2013; Upper Silesian Museum, Bytom, Poland 2017.
Sroka’s works are to be found in museum collections in Poland (among others, the National Museum in Cracow, the Leon Wyczolkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz, the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Radom, the Jagiellonian Library and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences Print Collection) and abroad (among others, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; the Graphische Sammlung Albertina in Vienna; the National Gallery of Art in Washington; the Musée Savoisien in Chambéry; the Cabinet des Estampes, Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris; the Utsunomiya Museum of Art in Utsunomiya; the Museu Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba and the Ningbo Art Museum in Ningbo).
The artist has received many awards including, among others, the Print Biennial in Mulhouse (1984), the International Miniature Art Exhibition in Toronto (1986), Graphica Atlantica in Reykjavik (1987), the Print Biennial in Vaasa (1987), the Grand Prix at the Print Biennial in Seoul (1988), and the International Print Triennial in Cracow (1994). He was nominated for Polityka magazine’s Passport award in 1996, and is a laureate of the Society of Polish Artists - Witold Wojtkiewicz Prize (2001); he has been decorated with the Bronze Gloria Artis Medal awarded by Ministry of Culture in Poland ( 2016) and the Vive l’Art Medal awarded by the Society of Polish Artists (2019).
