原件高35厘米，宽50厘米。为宁波阿育王寺舍利殿前之栏柱石狮。
双狮首尾相顾，作尽情戏舞姿态。凸眼巨鼻，龇牙咧嘴，长耳大尾，浑身鬃毛浓密卷曲，极富动感。系以鄞西梅园石雕刻，技艺精湛，地域风格鲜明，为清末时期浙东民间艺术的代表性作品。
The original objects, 35 cm in height and 50 cm in width each, are the stone lions in front of the Relic Hall at Temple of King Ashoka in Ningbo.
The pair of stone lions, chasing each other, are happily playing. Their bulging eyes, broad noses, bared fangs, and parted jaws demonstrate vitality, complemented by elongated ears, sweeping tails, and thick, curly hair. Carved with stones quarried from Mei Garden in western Ningbo, the stone lions showcase exquisite craftsmanship and a distinct regional style, epitomizing the folk artistry of eastern Zhejiang during the late Qing Dynasty (19th to early 20th century).
